Drive System Components


Wheels

21 inch Diameter Omni-Directional Wheels, approximately 12 inchs wide, with twelve polyurethane rollers mounted on Timken Tapered Roller Bearings
17 inch Diameter Omni-Directional Wheels, approximately 8.5 inchs wide, with fourteen polyurethane rollers mounted on Timken Tapered Roller Bearings

Motors

PMAC motors in various sizes for both traction and pump applications. These 3 phase brushless motors are very efficient and provide high torque in a small package

AC Induction motors in various sizes for both traction and pump applications. These 3 phase brushless motors are very efficient and provide reliable performance in tough applications

Drives

The ACS SuperDrive provides safe and reliable AC motor control and smooth vehicle operation.  It communicates via industry standard CANopen protocol.


The ASD Super Drive provides all of the features of its larger sibling, but in a smaller package for lower current operations 

Controller

VMC20 is a general purpose electric vehicle controller that communicates using the CANopen protocol. With its analog and digital I/O and communications facilities, VMC20 is well suited to manage vehicle motion, I/O, operator controls and display


Displays

The OPT10 is a multifunctional, microprocessor based operator terminal that can be defined to accept input of user commands, monitor various functions,  and more. It has built-in undervoltage, overvoltage, and reverse polarity protection. It operates on the CAN Bus and is fully compatable with the VMC20


Brakes

Spring applied, electro magnetically released brakes are available for automatic parking brake application

Extended Functionality

The Remote CAN Node provides additional analog and discrete I/O capabilities that can be located anywhere on the vehicle

The System Board provides all of the requisite system circuitry and circuit protection, as well as additional relay output (1-3) options.
